We offer various types of insurances, including: Standard, Plus, and Premium. The insurance limits your financial responsibility in the case of damages occurring to the vehicle.
Standard Collision Damage Waver (Included)
• Cost: Free (Included in the price)
• Coverage: Damages to the vehicle’s body (exceptions apply)
• Liability: Up to €3,000
Plus Collision Damage Waver
• Cost: €25 per day
• Coverage: Damages to the vehicle’s body (exceptions apply)
• Liability: Up to €1,000
Premium Collision Damage Waver
• Cost: €35 per day
• Coverage: Damages to the vehicle’s body (exceptions apply)
• Liability: €0
• Note: Does not cover windshield, tires, or damages caused by natural events (sand, ash storms), reckless driving or highway code violations.
Gravel Protection
• Cost: €15 per day
• Why it matters: Gravel damage is one of the most common types of damage that happens during a road trip.
• Note: Protects you against damage caused by gravel, stones, or small debris hitting the windshield, headlights, and windows during your trip.
Natural Hazard Protection
• Cost: €15 per day
• Why it matters: Sand and volcanic ash can cause significant damages to your camper van’s exterior and mechanical parts. Such natural events can scratch and erode the paintwork, clog air filters, damage headlights and windows, and even affect engine performance. (Always check the weather before driving)
• Coverage: Reduces your liability to €750. Without Natural Hazard Protection, you are liable for the full cost of repairs caused by natural events like sand or ash storms.
• Note: Such incidents are relatively rare but it is your responsibility to monitor weather conditions and adhere to warnings.
Tire Protection
• Cost: €15 per day
• Why it matters: We have all been there. Flat tires, punctures, blowouts. It can happen
anytime. 🙁
• Coverage: Tire Protection reduces your liability to €0 in case the unfortunate situation presents itself. Tire protection covers workshop costs and the price of a new tire if one has to be purchased.
• Note: You will have to pay at the repair shop for the tire change, but you will be refunded that amount. [Remember to take the receipt or you might not be refunded]

Freedom Bundle
Cost: €40 per day (save €15 per day)

Explorer Bundle
Cost: €60 per day (save €20 per day)
Includes:
• Premium Collision Damage Waiver
• Gravel Protection
• Natural Hazard Protection
• Tire Protection
Our insurance policy does NOT cover the following situations:
Reckless or Illegal Driving
The insurance does not cover any accidents resulting from:
• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Excessive speeding or reckless driving behavior
⚠️ Such actions will void your insurance and may result in full liability for
damages.
Wind Damage
Iceland is known for its strong winds — please be extra cautious when opening campervan
doors.
⚠️ Damage caused by wind catching the doors is not covered by insurance.
Always hold the doors firmly when opening, especially in high-wind areas.
Undercarriage Damage
Damage to the undercarriage — such as from rocks, road debris, or uneven terrain—is not
covered by insurance.
⚠️ If you notice signs of damage (e.g., oil leaks, unusual noises, or warning lights), please
contact us immediately.
Addressing small issues early can prevent serious, costly problems later.
Flat Tires [If you don’t have tire protection]
All our camper vans are rented with 5 working tires. The vehicle must be returned with all 5
tires in good condition.
If you get a flat tire during your trip, don’t hesitate to contact us. We work with trusted partners
across the country and can direct you to the nearest workshop for assistance.
Please note:
• It is the renter’s responsibility to replace the flat tire with the spare.
• You are also responsible for covering the repair cost at the workshop.
💡 Important:
If you have purchased Tire Protection insurance, keep the receipt from the repair. You’ll be
eligible for a refund at the end of your journey.
Please note: A refundable security deposit is required for all bookings. The amount will be pre-authorized (frozen) on your bank card (debit or credit) or in cash at the time of vehicle pickup — whichever is most convenient for you. No funds will be charged unless necessary, and the hold will be released after the rental, provided no issues are found.

Why do I have to pay €750 if I have the best insurance?
While the Premium Collision Damage Waver covers damages to the vehicles body in case of a collision, it does not cover damages caused by natural hazards (sand and volcanic ash). It reduces your payment obligation to €750.
Office Hours:
Our office is open from 08:00 to 16:00 every day of the week.
Pickup & Drop-off Options:
• You can choose to pick up or drop off the campervan at our office, or at your hotel/accommodation within a 5 km radius of our office — at no additional cost.
• For locations outside the 5 km radius, a €70 surcharge applies.
After-Hours Service:
• Pickup or drop-off outside of office hours (08:00–16:00) results in an additional charge of €100.
Late Returns:
• We understand delays happen and always aim to be flexible. However, if the campervan is returned more than 4 hours after the agreed drop-off time, you will be charged for an additional day.
• This rule also applies at the time of booking. For example, if you pick up the vehicle at 12:00 PM and plan to return it at 4:00 PM on the final day, this exceeds the 4-hour window and will be counted as an extra rental day.
No-Show
• We will hold your campervan reservation for up to 6 hours after your scheduled pickup time.
• If you do not arrive within this time, your booking will be considered a no-show, and no refund will be issued.
General Notes:
Please return the vehicle in the same condition as received, with a full fuel tank (unless otherwise agreed), and with the interior reasonably clean. (Please throw away your trash)
Let us know as early as possible if your plans change — we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
• You may cancel your booking up to 5 days before the pickup date. A €100 fee will apply to cover preparation and administrative costs.
• If you wish to change your vehicle rather than cancel, please email us — we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.
• No refund will be issued for cancellations made less than 5 days before the scheduled pickup date.
The minimum age to rent a campervan is 21. However, we can make exceptions based on your driving history—for example, if you’ve held a valid license and been driving regularly since the age of 17. Please note however, that exceptions will not be made for drivers below the age of 18.

Yes, you can reschedule your booking or switch to a different vehicle, subject to availability. We will do our best to accomodate your request.
Yes. Please return the campervan with a full tank of fuel and a reasonably clean interior. (No need to scrub – just take out your trash!) If the fuel tank isn’t full, a €40 service fee plus the cost of the missing fuel will apply.
Each campervan comes with basic kitchen equipment, including cutlery, utensils, pans, water, and one gas can (additional gas cans can be purchased).
You can also add extra gear to your rental, such as camping chairs, Wi-Fi routers, baby seats, and more—just let us know what you need when booking!
Yes, you can return the campervan at the airport for an additional fee of €70.
